Lifting Him Up at the Lofte
A 2 day drama camp for ages 13-18, filled with acting, improv, theater games, short sketches, song interpretations and other drama mediums which will be performed on Saturday evening for parents and guests. The atmosphere is fast and exciting. Your clinicians are Christian dramatists and have a volume of drama information and decades of experience in faith based theater. All material taught is Biblically based and encourages activity that honors God.
The camp is designed for 50-60 students. However, if there is more interest than 50-60 students, we've also secured January 28,29 for over flow and the camp is repeated.
February 4,5 is secured as our snow date (Hopefully we won't need to use it, but it's nice to have backup dates.)
Classes include:
- Acting 101 - Discovering the voice, stage presence and dominance
- Let the Games Begin - Improvisational game sessions
- Stage Movement - Basics of stage movement, stage positions and stage awareness
- Interpretive movement with Dowel Rod Sticks - performed Saturday evening
- Interpretative movement with Black Light and White Glove effect -
- Song Interpretation - performed Saturday evening
- Short Sketch Presentation - performed Saturday evening
- Acting 201 - Introducing another layer of character development with excercises to try
Other classes will be shared as time permits
Registration Friday morning 9:30
Friday Sessions will start at 10:00AM and will run through 4:00PM
Saturday Morning starts at 10:00AM and will run through 8:00PM Saturday is a long day of classes and rehearsals. Breaks are scheduled thoughout the day to keep everyone fresh and ready for the evening performance, which starts at 6:00PM and ends before 8:00PM
Registration includes:
- All classes and sessions for Friday and Saturday
- 2 tickets to Saturday Evening performance for parents or guardians. Students receive those tickets at registration table Friday morning.

Note* (Food concessions are available for sale at the theater at lunch time on Friday and lunch time on Saturday and Saturday evening performance. The concession venue is managed by the Lofte Theater personnel.)
